Why pharmaceutical sealing is the strictest duty
- Purity is the product — WFI and high-purity media can’t pick up anything from the seal, so materials and finish are documented and traceable.
- GMP wants surface finish — ASME BPE electropolished faces and housings that clean completely and pass audit.
- CIP and SIP every batch — the seal sees hot WFI, caustic and steam repeatedly without shedding particles.
- Aseptic duty may need a double seal with a sterile barrier to protect the product from the outside.
